Assam Government will start the cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh annually for National Food Security Act (NFSA) at the beginning of the Financial Year 2023–24.

As per the State Health Department sources, ”Mukhya Matri Ayushman Asom Yojana (MMAAY) has the objective of achieving the government’s long-term goal of ensuring that every citizen has access to affordable and quality healthcare.”

It needs to be mentioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive in Assam on April 15 for the mega Bihu dance recital and the inauguration of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Changsari.

Sources in the State Health Department said, ”The people who have Atal Amrit Cards can also avail of the cashless healthcare facilities. This facility will give the beneficiaries access to the government hospitals in the state and some empaneled private hospitals in the state and outside the state.”
