In the aftermath of the bomb threat issued by the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I), the Assam Police announced a cash reward of up to Rs 5 lakh for anyone providing credible information about the bomb planting that disrupted the state’s celebrations on Independence Day.

Assam Bomb Threat: DGP Urges Public To Provide Information On Online Platforms, Telephone Numbers

“We request public support for information in the ongoing investigation on bomb-like devices planted by ULFA-I. Credible information on persons involved in making, transporting, planting of these devices is requested,” Assam Director General of Police (DGP) GP Singh posted on X.

The Assam Police chief urged the public to provide information through their social media platforms and telephone numbers.

He also shared a WhatsApp number: 9132699735. The request added that the identity of those people who provide information would be kept confidential.
