The Governors of Nagaland and Meghalaya held separate meetings with Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday. These discussions took place at Amit Shah’s office in Parliament.
Governors Of Nagaland And Meghalaya Meet Amit Shah
During the meeting, discussions were held in regards to several issues plaguing the two Northeastern states of Nagaland and Meghalaya.
In a statement from Amit Shah’s office, it was confirmed, “The Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan met Union Home Minister Amit Shah.” In addition, Meghalaya Governor CH Vijayashankar also called on the Home Minister.
Amit Shah reaffirmed the Central government’s commitment to the development and security of the Northeast.
He emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the Central and state governments to maintain peace and stability in the region.
