PM Modi Congratulates KP Sharma Oli On Being Appointed As Nepal’s Prime Minister, Vows To Deepen Bonds

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday congratulated KP Sharma Oli on being appointed as Nepal’s Prime Minister.

Oli was appointed as Nepal’s Prime Minister on Sunday to lead a new coalition government that faces the daunting challenge of providing political stability in the country.

“Congratulations @kpsharmaoli on your appointment as the Prime Minister of Nepal. Look forward to working closely to further strengthen the deep bonds of friendship between our two countries and to further expand our mutually beneficial cooperation for the progress and prosperity of our peoples,” PM Modi shared his wishes in a post on X.

Oli was appointed to the top post after Pushpa Kamal Dahal lost the vote of confidence in the House of Representatives on July 12.

Nepal’s President Ram Chandra Paudel appointed KP Oli as the new Prime Minister. He will lead the Communist Party of Nepal-Unified Marxist Leninist (CPN-UML)-Nepali Congress coalition government.
