Formerly part of the Lakhimpur Lok Sabha constituency, Majuli was added to Jorhat in the recent delimitation exercise.
During his campaign, Gaurav Gogoi emphasized the overwhelming support he received, suggesting a significant win over the BJP.
Criticizing the BJP’s track record, he highlighted unfulfilled promises, rising prices, and deteriorating conditions in sectors like education and agriculture.
