Nagaland Tourism Minister Calls On Manipur Governor, Discuss Border Dispute Of Mao Citizens

Nagaland Tourism Minister Temjen Imna Along on March 14 called on Manipur Governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan.

Manipur Governor Meets Nagaland Tourism Minister

Temjen Imna Along’s meeting with the Manipur Governor came at a time when the Southern Angami Public Organization (SAPO) is asking the Mao citizens of Manipur residing within the Angami jurisdiction to return to their respective native villages in Manipur with an ultimatum by March 17.

While welcoming the Tourism Minister, Anusuiya Uikey said that to mend the gap and trust deficit between the two communities and initiate a dialogue process would be the only means to solve the ongoing impasse.

The Central and the state governments have been trying their best to set a viable environment so that all impending issues can be solved. Meanwhile, the All Naga Students Association, Manipur (ANSAM) urged upon all to ease the tension.
