On the seventh day of the budget session of the Assam Legislative Assembly, Agriculture Minister Atul Bora stated that the state government has officially declared ‘Kaji Nemu’ as the state fruit.
The move aims to promote the unique aroma and nutritional value of ‘Kaji Nemu’ on a global scale.
Meanwhile, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed confidence that the declaration would contribute to self-dependency and increased production in the state.
