The Mizoram government is mulling to hand over the state’s lone airport Lengpui, to either the Airports Authority of India (AAI) or the Adani Group for further development and efficient management.

Mizoram Chief Minister Lalduhoma announced this during a press conference on December 6 and said that this move aims to bolster the infrastructure and connectivity of the state’s lone airport.
Further, he highlighted his recent meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi, where they discussed the ongoing Assam-Mizoram border dispute.
“We no longer want violence at the inter-state border,” Lalduhoma said, expressing his commitment to resolving the dispute through dialogue.
Lengpui Airport is currently the state’s only operational airport. It plays a crucial role in connecting the Northeastern state to other parts of India.
