In a significant development, two youths were on December 28 detained by the police in connection with the Jorhat grenade explosion incident that occurred earlier this month.
Jorhat Grenade Explosion
The officials had arrested a youth for his alleged involvement in the Jorhat grenade explosion, for which the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) had claimed responsibility.
The officials seized a mobile phone from the possession of the individual believed to be involved in the incident. Based on the confessions of the youth, the officials went on to detain the second youth.
The second suspect was detained from Moran town in Dibrugarh district. Jorhat Police informed that they took the help of Moran Police in capturing the second youth in connection with the Jorhat grenade explosion incident.
