Veteran Assamese singer Arun Das left for heavenly abode on December 3 after battling long-standing illnesses. The singer breathed his last reportedly at around 4:35 am.

Reportedly, Arun Das was earlier admitted to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) after being diagnosed with COVID-19 and allegedly left to languish there without anyone attending to his needs.
The veteran singer of the 90s is known to have lent his voice to popular songs like ‘Ketiaba Ojanite’, ‘Tumi Janu Jana Sun’, ‘Atori Atori’, ‘Kiman Morom Tumale’, among others.
