A young woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at her rented residence in Guwahati’s Hengrabari area on November 26.
Dhemaji Woman Found Dead In Guwahati
As per initial reports, the woman had been working at a nearby beauty parlour as a beautician for the past one year. The officials of Dispur Police informed that the deceased woman was originally from Assam’s Dhemaji district. She was identified as Anushka Saikia.
The Dispur Police were informed about the incident and soon reached the scene to recover the body. The police said that they had initiated an investigation into the matter. A team from the forensic department arrived at the scene of the incident.
However, it remains unclear as to whether it was a case of murder or suicide. Speaking to the media, a police official said, “The incident looks mysterious. We have picked up one woman who was working at the residence as a domestic help for questioning.”
