ECI Directs Priyanka Gandhi Vadra To Clarify Statements Against PM Modi

Responding to a complaint lodged by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the ECI has directed Priyanka Gandhi Vadra to clarify her statements, deemed as ‘false’ and ‘unverified’, against PM Modi.

The ECI has set a deadline for her response, expecting an explanation by 8 pm on November 16.

“Criticism of other political parties, when made, shall be confined to their policies and programme, past record and work. Parties and candidates shall refrain from criticism of all aspects of private life, not connected with the public activities of the leaders and workers of other parties. Criticism of other parties or their workers based on unverified allegations or distortion shall be avoided,” the ECI said in its notice.

While addressing a public gathering in Bhopal in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh last week, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra slammed the BJP and claimed that government-run companies have been given to PM Modi’s industrialist friends.
