UK PM Rishi Sunak Sacks Interior Minister Suella Braverman Amid Row
UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Monday sacked his Interior Minister Suella Braverman over her remarks on Palestine.
Suella Braverman Defied Rishi Sunak By Publishing Article Attacking Police’s Handling Of March
Rishi Sunak asked Suella Braverman to leave the government, and she accepted the direction, according to sources quoted by Reuters.
Suella Braverman had last week defied Rishi Sunak by publishing an article attacking the police’s handling of a march that occurred on Saturday.
She was criticised for inflaming tensions and encouraging right-wing protesters to take to the streets of London, putting the UK PM under pressure to take action.
In a highly unusual attack on the police, Suella Braverman said London’s police force was ignoring lawbreaking by “pro-Palestinian mobs” describing demonstrators calling for a cease-fire in Gaza as “hate marchers”.
