‘India Stands In Solidarity’: PM Modi Expresses Grief Over Loss Of Lives In Nepal Earthquake

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 4 expressed grief over the loss of lives and damage due to the earthquake in Nepal.

Taking to X, PM Modi wrote, “Deeply saddened by loss of lives and damage due to the earthquake in Nepal. India stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal and is ready to extend all possible assistance. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families and we wish the injured a quick recovery.”

At least 140 people died and dozens were injured after a devastating earthquake with a magnitude of 6.4 struck northwestern districts of Nepal, late on the night of November 3.

The National Centre for Seismology stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was in Nepal at a depth of about 10 kilometers.
