Sharad Pawar pointed out inconsistencies within the Indian government. He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi had expressed “solidarity” with Israel only for the foreign ministry to say something different later.
Earlier on October 8, PM Modi said he was “deeply shocked” by the news of the Hamas attacks on Israel and added, “We stand in solidarity with Israel at this difficult hour.”
The NCP chief slammed the “shift in India’s policy” towards the Palestine issue and said there are “thousands of people” dying there.
