The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on October 18 released the first list of candidates for the forthcoming Mizoram Assembly elections.

The list, which comprises 12 candidates, includes two former leaders from the Mizo National Front (MNF).
According to the BJP’s list for Mizoram polls, R Lalbiaktluangi will contest from the Lunglei West seat, Shanti Bikash Chakma from Thorang, Malsawmtluanga from Hachhek and Vanlalhmuaka from the Dampa seat.
