Arunachal: CM Khandu, Kiren Rijiju Flag Off India’s First High Altitude Marathon At Tawang

Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on October 1 flagged off India’s first high altitude marathon at Tawang’s High Altitude Stadium.

Army Has Extended Big Support In Organising Tawang Marathon: Pema Khandu

The marathon, organised by the Arunachal Pradesh government and the Indian Army, saw a huge participation of around 2,500 runners.

Pema Khandu expressed his pride at the successful organisation of the marathon and appreciated the support extended by the Army. Further, he mentioned that big companies are showing interest in sponsoring the marathon.

“I feel very proud. The Army has extended big support in organising this Tawang Marathon. Big companies want to sponsor the marathon now,” Pema Khandu said.

Meanwhile, Kiren Rijiju expressed his delight at the large turn-out and encouraged more participation in these kinds of marathon events.
