During the G20 Summit, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau refused to stay in the specially prepared presidential suite in New Delhi’s Lalit Hotel.
Separate Presidential Suite Booked For PM Trudeau In Lalit Hotel In New Delhi
A separate presidential suite was booked for PM Trudeau in New Delhi’s Lalit Hotel but he did not use the presidential suite for a single day. Despite this, PM Trudeau stayed in a normal room at the hotel during his stay in India.
The Government of India had booked VVIP hotels for all the heads of state and delegates in Delhi. All the security agencies and Delhi police were in charge of the complete security for all the presidential suites.
According to sources, in total, 23 hotels in Delhi and nine in the NCR hosted the G20 delegates. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) held several meetings to discuss security arrangements.
