Guwahati: Construction Activities For Flyover Between RBI And Bamunimaidam To Begin From September

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has informed that the construction activities for the flyover between the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) office in Pan Bazaar area and Bamunimaidam is likely to begin from September this year.

While addressing the inaugural event of ‘Nilachal Flyover’ in Maligaon, the Chief Minister informed that the bidding process for construction of the 6-kilometre flyover between the RBI office and Bamunimaidam has been completed and the construction activities will begin from September this year.

Further, Sarma announced that a 6-lane road connecting Dharapur with Jalukbari along with a flyover at Dharapur Chariali will be constructed. A rotary in front of Deepor Beel will be built, he added.

The Zoo Road Flyover has been christened as Shraddhanjali Flyover and is slated to be inaugurated on Maha Panchami. Construction of at least 22 flyovers is on the verge of completion, Sarma informed.
