Kokrajhar city is all set to host the 132nd edition of the historic Durand Cup for the first time at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) Stadium.

The inaugural ceremony will be held on August 5. The SAI Stadium is ready to welcome the Defence Minister, Assam Chief Minister and the Chief of Army Staff during the ceremony.
Kokrajhar, the ‘city of peace’ is set to witness a fly past by Air Force aircraft, Sky diving, and martial arts by the Indian Army. The 132nd edition of Durand Cup will witness participation of 24 teams, including one team each from Nepal and Bangladesh.
Martial displays and Bhangra teamed with the display of Bodo cultural dances will enthrall the crowd. The inaugural ceremony is eagerly awaited by the local football fans since their favourite local team, Bodoland FC will make its debut in the inaugural match against Rajasthan United FC.
