Russia Accuses Ukraine Of Carrying Out Drone Attack In Moscow
The Russian Defence Ministry on July 28 has accused Ukraine of carrying out a drone attack in the Moscow region.
UAV Destroyed By Means Of Air Defence
The Ministry said in a statement on Telegram that an attempt by Ukraine to carry out a terrorist attack by Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) on facilities in Moscow has been foiled.
“The UAV was destroyed by means of air defence,” the Ministry said, adding that there were no casualties or damage. Sergei Sobyanin, the Mayor of Moscow also confirmed the drone attack. Friday’s development comes five days after drone strikes hit two buildings in Moscow.
The Ministry claimed that the “two Ukrainian drones” were “suppressed” and “crashed” in Moscow during the attack on July 24. Monday’s attack was the most high-profile of its kind as two drones reached the Kremlin in May. Russia branded the Moscow drone attack as a “terrorist act”.
