The Kamrup Metro administration on July 10 identified 33 locations throughout the district as accident-prone areas.
Kamrup DC Presides Over Meeting With District Road Safety Committee
It is noted Kamrup (M) DC Pallav Gopal Jha presided over a meeting with the District Road Safety Committee in Guwahati.
DC Jha gave instructions to the other deputy commissioners, district transport officials, and other senior officials to analyse the accident pattern in these 33 “black spots”, rectify it within 15 days.
Further, DC Jha urged the relevant agencies to hasten the building of pathways, the repair of damaged roads, and other related tasks.
Taking on Twitter, Kamrup Metro District Administration informed, “DC, Kamrup(M) Shri Pallav Gopal Jha chaired meeting of District Road Safety Committee with ADC, DTOs & senior officials. The DC instructed to analyse pattern of accidents, identify black spots and rectify the same within 15 days besides creating awareness of same.”
Earlier, in June, an astounding 366 risky spots have been located by the Guwahati administration, prompting worries about landslides.
