Amit Shah Interacts With Protesters From Manipur’s Indigenous Tribes In New Delhi

The protesters from Manipur’s indigenous tribes met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on Wednesday.

Amit Shah apparently received a three-point manifesto of demands from the demonstrators. The protesters made their way to the Union Home Minister’s quarters and asked to speak with him on Wednesday morning.

After that, security was increased in front of the house of the Home Minister. Later, Amit Shah met with a few tribal protestors’ representatives.

People from Manipur’s Kuki-Zomi-Hmar-Mizo tribes were the protesters. The demonstrators carried signs that said ”Tribal lives matter” and “Article 356 not 355”. Manipur has been on edge since May 3 when fighting between two communities in the state erupted and spread to a wide area.
