Former Karnataka Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar has joined the Congress on April 17 at Bengaluru. Jagadish Shettar joined the party in the presence of the party’s national president Mallikarjun Kharge and KPCC president DK Shivakumar.
Jagadish Shettar Joins Congress
Jagadish Shettar on April 16 held a key meeting with DK Shivakumar, Siddaramaiah and Randeep Surjewala at Bengaluru.
It is mentioned he is likely to get the Congress ticket from Hubballi – Dharwad central constituency. Jagadish Shettar has served as Karnataka Chief Minister and BJP’s state president.
However, he was denied a ticket by the BJP this time for assembly polls. In the meantime, Jagadish Shettar alleged, ”I was humiliated and badly treated by the BJP leaders. A few leaders in the state are misusing the BJP system and it is hurtful.”
