Neena Majumdar, the headmistress of Khusurabari High School, and Mintu Saha, a businessman from Mazbat under the Mazbat Police Station in the Udalguri district were detained on Mid Day Meal scam and put in jail.

According to sources, after smelling rat in the rice distributed under the MDM system, the guardians and members of the school management committee filed an FIR at the Mazbat Police Station.
The headmistress confessed the crime. The Police detained the headmistress on April 5 in connection with the 35/23 case, and the businessman was held on April 6 regarding the same case.
Earlier to this, the Khusurabari High School management committee and guardians performed an investigation at the Mazbat cooperative society, where the school head acquired the rice under the MDM system.
