In Karimganj district, Assam Rifles officers detained three people and recovered heroin worth Rs 50 lakh in a joint operation with Assam Police.

The Patharkandi Police Station and the Radhanagar Battalion of the Assam Rifles jointly initiated the operation on March 27.
The Patharkandi Police Station and Radhanagar Battalion of the Agartala Sector Assam Rifles, operating under the direction of HQ IGAR (E), detained three people with grade-1 heroin.
In this regard, officials stated, “Three individuals were apprehended along with 123 grammes of grade-one heroin, valued at approximately 50 lakhs, and 17,900 cash from Hathkula, under Karimganj’s Patharkandi Police Station.”
