Jorhat Police detained four people, including a woman, on March 12 in connection with the assault on a pregnant woman and her family members. It is noted the four accused were taken into custody by Lichubari Police.

The intoxicated youngsters have been identified as Angshuman Dutta, Babu Phukan, and Sunny Phukan. However, the woman has not yet had her identity made public.
It is mentioned the event happened on March 8 when the family arrived back at their residence at the ABG Apartment, Bongal Pukhuri.
Notably, the images of the pregnant woman being dragged by her hair were caught on tape. Security footage from the residence captured the whole scene.
