Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu urges the students to pick up more languages so they would have an advantage in the current competitive environment.
Students Should Learn Multiple Languages
It is noted the Education Minister was giving a speech on “BTR marching towards quality education – KG to PG” on the third day of the first Bodoland International Knowledge Festival.
This was held by Bodoland University in Kokrajhar on March 1. “Children can gain an advantage by studying more languages in addition to their individual mother tongues in the competitive world of today and in a multilingual nation like India,” stated the Minister.
“We shouldn’t restrict people’s ability to learn new languages. Young minds may readily pick up many languages. That comes naturally to them. They are not under any additional strain. Hence, let’s adopt a cheerful outlook. The language problem shouldn’t be viewed emotionally,” the Minister further added.
