Government Officer Gets Suspended
It is mentioned Bhanita Hira Das, the Cultural Development Officer of the cultural centre in Dibrugarh was held accountable for playing the Assamese national anthem incorrectly.
Bhanita Hira Das was suspended with immediate effect. The Assamese national anthem was played disortedly in front of many dignitaries including State Minister for Cultural Affairs Bimal Borah and Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Rameswar Teli.
It is noted two Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers were suspended due to allegations of widespread irregularities at the Assam Fisheries Development Corporation Limited (AFDCL) on February 2.
